What's race got to do with it?

Focuses on a 16 week program of intergroup dialogue on the University of California-Berkeley campus. Students involved in the group discuss race on campus and in America. The film (and program) is geared toward strengthening young people's committment to racial equality on campus so that everyone can succeed. The bonus section ofthe DVD focuses on commentary and excerpts from interviews with Dave Stark and Jarlena Griffin-Desta who coordinated the program. Both presented their thoughts on the different aspects of racism and prejudice in the culture and how all aspects of individual and institutionalized racism must be examined, both in personal terms and in instititutional terms.
